I've been burned on ebay and comp.sys.amiga.marketplace by Americans, should I then resolve never to buy or sell things to Americans? Usually when an auction says will ship only to US, I find that if I bid on it anyway 95% of the time they will ship it anyway--no problems (well except if they ship by the pirates UPS or put a value declaration of $100 when I won the auction for 1 cent, but that's another story).
I've only had 2 people who refused to ship to me. It's only if they explicitly state in the body of the auction that they won't ship outside the US that I don't bother to bid (or 48 contiguous states. What have they got against Alaskans, Hawaiians, Puerto Ricans who are all US citizens?)
I've been burned by Americans as well, and that hasn't stopped me from buying or shipping to them, but thats besides the point.
However, I do take offence to the idea that because I am Canadian, I am untrustworthy or unscrupulous. In fact, if I were an American, I'd sue over this. ;-)
But seeing as I'm Canadian, I'll shrug and go get a pint of real beer this evening. ;-) If MaDDuck doesn't want my money, I can't force him to take it.
