Well if I want to run Linux I'll use a cheap PC.
What will be the need to get an new Amiga for that ?

I hope >not<.
This style case made the Amiga beeing regarded as a toy, constraining size thus compromising the expandability was responsable in a way for its commecial end.

The others reasons were not having a HD as standard and a CDROM at that multimedia time (the Amiga was the first true multimedia computer and the A1200 didn't have a CDROM!).
