Boot from virtual floppy or flash drive with ADF file.
« on: January 07, 2012, 10:43:08 PM »
I can't seem to find an exact answer for this in the search, so I'm going to ask.

Is there a software or hardware solution to do the following?:

Mount an ADF file to some kind of virtual floppy or flash drive, and then reset and BOOT from that drive?

I've seen all kinds of posts about making virtual floppy drives, but I'm confused if there's a way to BOOT from these.

As you can imagine, I've got some of my old games in ADF format, and I'd like to not have to copy to a real floppy if I can.

Thanks SO much.

Yes, but can you actually boot from the virtual drives created with ADF Device?    If you can only do that with a rad drive, how do you do that?  Thanks!

Hmm...  when I type in mount rad:  I get Can't open file 'DEVS:MountList'.  Something tells me I'm missing a file?

get one of these

the second video on the page shows it booting an A500

Well, that's what I was looking for.  I was hoping for a software solution, but I thought that might be difficult considering we're talking about booting up here.  Anyway, thanks so much for the response, jack!

Now we'll see how long it takes it to get to the States...  and, ug, I wish I paid $76, not 76 pounds... but love costs money.  ;)
