Its a waste of time for 2 reasons:

1) There would be no market.  THe linux community likes their software free, and there isn't enough of an amiga marketshare to make it worthwhile, even if the source was simply licensed to hyperion and they were solely responsible to recoup costs.

2)  the Amiga graphics subsystem won't be re-worked until 4.1.  An AmigaOne + Radeon 8500 would run it quite well, but the OS isn't ready for the 3-D engine yet.  

Ah, but to dream.... :-(
