I had no idea... Amigan metalheads?
« on: July 27, 2004, 07:52:37 PM »
So I'm sitting, here bored at work and decided to rummage through the Aorg general forums...

Amigan metalheads!!  And oldschool ones at that.

Red, I had no idea

I like all kinds of music, but I'll always have a special place in my heart for speed metal.  That said, I thought I'd throw out the name of the best CD I've bought in the last few years:

Exodus - "Tempo of the Damned."

Anybody else have this CD yet?   :-?

Yeah, the Exodus CD does have some 'propaganda' I suppose.  Good thing I don't listen to music for the lyrics  Anyhow Red, if you can get past some of the lyrics, it really is a great thrash CD, in the old style.

I heard the Damageplan CD, I wasn't really that impressed.  If were talking of new projects from old Pantera members, I'd say Superjoint Ritual is a better listen.  Also the first Down CD was very good.

I have to agree with you guys on the nu-metal thing.

Check  this out.

I say we give him $20 and tell him to keep fighting the good fight   :-D

hmm, I shall seek out this "Nailbomb" you speak of.

Also, another impressive band that is fairly new:  Mudvayne.  There newest record is pretty sterile, but LD 50 is blunt, agressive metal the way it should be.  Their song "Internal Primates Forever" for the most part restored my faith in today's youth.
