If anything relies on the line frequency for clocking, it will run slow.

Had that problem when I was stationed in Scotland.  We had transformers to adjust the voltage, but if you plugged a clock into the line, it ran slow!  After 3 years there I got pretty good at calculating when to set my alarm clock so I wouldn't be late for muster!

Actually, I went to a wind up!  The area I was in tended to lose power from time to time!
