I know these are old computers we are talking about. However I am just asking this to see if it is normal and if maybe another version of the datatype might improve things.
Basically under WinUAE, the workbench installation I have (which is the same as the one I use on the real hardware [A500+, 8Mb FastRam, 2Mb ChipRam 68000]), if I set the processor as 68030 and "Match A500 speed" option on, the datatype I am using (JpegDataType) seems as if doing nothing, although some fastRam is allocated. However the moment I change the option "Match A500 speed" to "Fastest possible, but maintain chipset timing" the image loads instantly.
As I said I know that the latter option is obviously much faster. However is it normal for a JPEG image to take several minutes to load even on an 030 processor?
