Aros i386
« on: October 23, 2009, 02:38:59 PM »
Hi,

While doing my daily Amiga-Related-Research I found out the following website:
http://www.power2people.org/bounty_041.html

From what I understand this website is asking for someone to port Poseidon USB to AROS i386 - So is there really a move to get AROS working on a x86 machine? I thought that bought AROS and Morph where strictly PPC!

Regards,
Sim085

AROS goal has always been to get it running on as much hardware as possible.  Currently it run best on x86. I believe the PPC version has not been touched in awhile.  Though I could be wrong.

That is good to know - for some reason I always thought that both AROS and Morph where only for PPC and never even considered searching to see if they where available for normal x86 PCs! I may consider installing it (if I manage) to see how it goes - although the lack of USB makes me wonder if there are many other things missing as well!
