HDToolBox and WinUAE
« on: October 09, 2009, 11:32:29 PM »
Hi,

I am loading Workbench 3.1 from a directory on Windows. I have changed the SCSI_DEVICE_NAME of HDToolBox equal to uaehf.device. Additionally I start WinUAE with the parameter -disableharddrivesafetycheck. With a CF card I have no problem but with a directory HDToolBox does not recogonise any drive and all options are disabled.

Regards,
Sim085

There's no need to mess with HDToolbox.

I did use the add directory option. The reason I need HDToolBox is because I want to update the FastFileSystem file in the RDB.

If you add a windows directory, it doesn't have a RDB.
Only real amiga drives have a RDB.

So not even a Hardfile would have an RDB? Only real hardware? If so then it is impossible to update the FastFileSystem right!

A hardfile can have an RDB if you click on "Enable RDB mode".

Ok, I'll copy my setup to a hardfile and continue from there. Thank you :)
