Pull the external floppy drives off. See if that fixes it
sometimes the flipflops in the external drives die.
causing the amiga to see multiple drives as a single
device.
If this doesn't work it could be a bad internal drive.
or a bad CIA U8 or possibly Gayle though unlikely.
early versions of the A1200 had some onboard flipflops
that where later incorperated into Gayle.
If pulling the external drive off doesn't work try replacing the internal
drive with one from a buddy. it's easier than replacing
a chip.
