If the Trash-80 dabbled in CP-M, I was not aware of it. We used it in school to learn BASIC programming and networking. I do know that it was based on the Zilog 80 processor, a VERY popular processor back in the day and one I run across daily in the arcade business: Pac-Man, etc. Even the Timex Sinclair, Sega Genesis sound chip and Sega Master System used 'em. I'd like a functional TRS-80 to simply display in my electronics museum of sorts.
Linky to TRS-80 info
Yes, the Model 2 had CP/M
Quote from the above linky
"The Model II ran the TRSDOS-II operating system and BASIC. TRSDOS-II was not very compatible with TRSDOS for the Model I, thus the Model II never had the same breadth of available software as the Model I. This was somewhat mitigated by the availability of the CP/M operating system for the Model II from third parties such as Pickles & Trout."
