I think your problem is with the A2091 ROMs. The 6.6 ROMs didn't like anything over 2 GB. If you can get a 7.0 ROM upgrade it migh help, or even better the 6.0 GuruROM for the A2091 which is what I use.
I think Softwarehut still sells both.
