I remember reading that the Euro A1000's did not have a daughterboard, the daughterboard was only on NTSC A1000's. If that's the case it's likely that Jens didn't have an NTSC A1000 to test with and only tested on the PAL A1000.
I've worked on a lot of A1000's they have all been North American NTSC units.
