The A1000 daughterboard appeared on an North American units.
It supplied the Kickstart RAM write Area and had the preliminary Kickstart Boot PAL logic which the Insert Kickstart Boot Disk Screen.
If you installed a Rejuvinator (from Expert Systems) board then this board was removed. Some other Kickstart Boards for the A1000 may have also done this.
