Hello,
The mount list was a text file with device information, generally used for earlier HDD Controllers that didn't support RDB.
Depending on the Version of Amiga OS the device driver whitch is a text file could be located in Devs: Devs:DOSDrivers or SYS:Storage/DOSDrivers and Finally DEVS:MountList. I think that is the correct sequence used to search for a proper driver.
It listed the number of Surfaces (Heads), Sectors per block, Sectors per track, Low and high Cylinders.
People how had to Format Hard Drives in the early 1980's know
how tedious a process it was to prep hard drives.
I have missed a lot of Device settings for the test file
generally a a zip drive wound be called zp0: or zip: as a device name.
Cheers
Shaf
