Hi mate, i used a positive fixed 3.3 volt regulator TS1084CM-3.3 with current upto 5 amp. and has a dropout of 1.3volts if needed. It is in a TO-263 style case and is perfect for the job. I bought it from maplin electronics online, around £4.00 delivered

Depending on where you live, postage could be higher for delivery. Or you could google the regulator and maybe find it for delivery closer to you

Hi yes i fully desoldered the old 040/40mhz cpu, this was kinda hard since the 040 was soldered on both sides of the board. I then installed and soldered in the 060 socket and fitted a revision 6 MC68060RC50 with mask 7E141J. These are the newest 060s which i have heard can run upto 100mhz with PC sdram with suitable heatsink and fan fitted. On a blizzard 1260 i think if you have 50 or 60ns simm you could probbably get 70mhz with good cooling but i dont know wether this would be stable in workbench
