If memory serves me right, the battery is soldered directly to the PCB (at least that's what I remember from the Blizzard 1230 Mk. III).
http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=150 The pictures aren't the best, but the battery looks as if it's soldered directly onto the PCB.
