Indivision, LCD displays, and various resolutions
« on: November 09, 2009, 02:15:43 AM »
I just installed an indivision in my 1200.  It works great.  But I've noticed some unexpected (or maybe expected) behavior.  I set the workbench display to 640x400, which looks great.  But whenever I start a game or some other software that I think is using 320x200 or 400, the image gets narrower... like a lot narrower.  It's also distorted like the aspect ratio is wrong.  This is on a 4:3 lcd display.  Am I just seeing the amiga screen modes force-fitted into what the lcd display wants to display?  Or is something else going on?

If this is how it's going to be, I'll just switch to a CRT.  But it may be that what I need is a better LCD display that can make better adjustments for odd-ball resolutions.
