For the others, the reason for doing this is: drive bays.
Instead of a tower, I was going to see if I could cannibalize some drive mounting brackets from another case and graft them onto the 2000 case somehow, then create my own case cover out of plexy and/or high quality plywood.
Too many projects, not enough time.
