I noticed that emacs was available on one of the disks that comes wit the OS.  I know almost nothing about emacs.  But the menus made it a very serviceable editor to use in a pinch.

I was delighted to see that vim had been ported to the amiga.  Although I haven't tried it yet.

VI: Simultaneously the best and worst editor ever invented.
