Getting software into amigaland
« on: May 22, 2008, 08:38:52 PM »
What's the best way to get a disk image on a PC into an amiga?  I'm thinking maybe the catweasel?  Or is there PC software that can write to amiga 880k disks?  or maybe a laplink style serial connection?

Eventually I'll have a network connection and probably usb support, but for now, it's a ship in a bottle.

I have two 2000s at the moment that I picked up last night.  I still need a monitor also.  As soon as I digest those systems, I'll be buying a new 1200 from you guys.  The serial cable looks like a good alternative until I get properly setup.

They're more or less stock 2000s.  I'm thinking they didn't have high density drives, right?

Or, you could get the A2000's networked, then just pull the image from the PC onto the A2000 and write it straight to floppy disks or extract it to a HDD  :-D

I do the same kinda thing with my A1200.

Thats the plan, but i'm not there yet.
