I had the flipper edition for my A1200 (desktop), worse Amiga experience ever (even worse than trying to fit a FastATA).  
I only got it to output sound once and even then it sounded terrible ;)

Sold it now and I'm just sticking to good old Paula for my AHI playback.   With the right utils you can remove most of the noise from 14bit Paula and get some awesome sound out of the original chipset (esp if you've also had your CAPS replaced).   The need for MP3 playback is overrated these days because hard drive space is so cheap, I just rip all of my CDROM'S to uncompressed audio and play them back using AMP.
