I thought this was a rumor/movement from when Amigans were desperate for hardware.

Amigans have been desperate for hardware for the past 15 years haven't they?



Anyway, no...there was never much chance of OS4 coming out on a PS3 or XBOX 360 or Wii or Mac or PC (ok, I'll stop now).

He probably got it from the article on ARS Technia by OS4 advocate and wannabe journalist Jeremy Reimer where he claims it is being tested on PS3:

Even if this were true (and it may well be), it doesn't mean they are/were going to release it.  Just because something is technically possible, doesn't make it good business sense to market it.
