Hey guys

Does anyone know if anywhere sell scan doublers? as mine started to display a yellow/greeny tint over the screen!

Hi mate

Forget it. Don't even think. This must be the most sought-after piece of HW in the Amiga world. And as you may know, the Amiga world is a small one. You'll have more luck hunting a 3000 (with built-in, tunable, switchable, rock solid SD amber chip)  :-P.

(That they tossed it out of the A4000 is WAY beyond me. Must be on the top5 of my favorite C= messups)

I guess you're ready for an alternative solution. Behold, it looks like quite an elegant & cheap one.

BTW, is anyone here using a CV64/3D WITH it's SD module ? I'd like details

Oh yeah, you're right, they're not so hard to make, specially considering the uber-complexity of graphic chips nowadays. the only thing is that albeit they are people willing to sacrifice a significant number of small animals just to be able to buy one, those people are still a bunch of, say, 1000. And I'm feeling optimistic here ; Not worth even remembering what a SD is, and what it exactly does.

And yes, external SDs are basically pieces of junk. All details are on amidude thread, mentioned earlier.

They're not rare and you can buy them quite easily.  I bought one from Eyetech a couple of months ago (www.eyetech.co.uk) and Software Hut are due to get another batch in soon (www.softhut.com).

Treat yourself to one for Xmas ;)

Hey, I did'nt saw that. Easy to miss something on EyeTech's huh, website ;) Damn, are you sure about this production run ? 'Cause I love to be wrong when it comes to A-morosity :)
