Hi
I've been trying to no avail to install this TEAC SCSI CD-Rom on my A4K, and Scuzzy on Amiga is something new to me.
Needless to say, the CD-Rom drive has been tested, it worked flawlessly on a Linux PC attached to a 2940 SCSI board.
What I want to do :
# Install this CD-Rom on the 4K using a floppy-based WB 3.1
# Install OS3.9 From the CD I just purchased.
# Finish to populate this SCSI chain with 2 more BIG Scuzzy drives.
Setup :
A4040 with 3.1 ROMs and 16 Mg RAM,
A GVP HC+8 Series II Rev. II Full of RAM (8Mg) with One HD For now (2 are waiting to be installed) that was the original one, I guess.
it's a 520Mg Conner SCSI drive, at least that's what HDToolbox is telling me, no indication of the size on the drive. There is a 3.1 WB installed on it, but I don't quite "trust" it. Lots of patches, refers to HardWare no longer present, etc.
What I'm trying to do is to just setup a floppy WB that would allow me to access the CD.
When I load HD ToolBox, (yes I *did* edit the tooltype from scsi.device to gvpscsi.device) I cannot see the CD, no matter what I try. I do see the Conner drive.
When I tried my other Scuzzy HDs, it showed nonsensic values, and refused to write to it (write error 25 I guess)
that's why I want to install them under OS 3.9 only.
I did put a CD0 DOSdriver in DEVS:, with also the right "gvpscsi.device" in the tooltypes, but no luck getting it to mount.
No way to CD into it from a shell too

What Am I missing ?
Is this GVP Board auto-terminated (I'm not using external units) or should I set some jumper ?
Can somebody tell me what a mountlist is, I mean, what mine should look like ?
Please help, I'm getting pissed off and already broke a thing just to calm down :-x
