Digging 4 info on the 1200 architecture I found this :

Sothius' Museum of Homecomputers

And thought it is worth mentionning.

The guy presents it as a "museum", but it has a LOT of in-deph infos, is very accurate and up 2 date, and  boasts a *lot* of precious "inside" illustrations, the likes of :

and then

and again

...And so on ! The man teared ALL his machines apart, and took photos of each and EVERY element !

Everything you need 2 know is here ! K00l !

In fact is is 1 of the most complete site I ever saw on the HWare of the Amiga, but the guy has hundreds of other gems ; Click on the "museum" link ; Just 4 a start, the oldest C= machine he got is a CBM Model 3016 !

Did you knew that the 500 was nicknamed "B52/ Rock Lobster" ?? :-o  :-P  :-o

And that the (beloved) 1200 codename is "Channel Z" ? Fact is, I knew it, it's silkscreened on the MoBo, but what's with the B52's songs ?? Channel Z is actually one of my favorites after the whol planet claire album ! Somebody knows the origin of this codenaming ?  :-o  8-)  :-o     :-o  8-) please enlight me, I *need* to know !

I'm in the process of giving a new life 2 an old Commodore 12K, I want 2 fit a 3.5 IDE drive init, add a AT PSU, and off I"m gone to the equinoxe party !

I love his cute chickenHead logo

PS - 4 the ekinox : I have a *lot* of (free) hosting facilities for (cool only) persons interested in attending but have no place to sleep.

peace
