I've been in communication with the seller regarding the machine. Looks like he actualy UNDERSTATED the specs. Internal we've identified a TBC and a Toaster 4000 card.

---

A lot of folks don't know what they have. To them it's just an old computer and they may make a few bucks on eBay with it.

A few months ago when I decided to get an A2000, I got one off eBay which, with shipping, was about $100. I thought it was going to be a bone stock machine. That's how it was advertised. When it arrived and I pulled the cover, I found it had all the "big" upgrades including a accelerator card and a scan double/flicker fixer, network card, etc.

To me it was a smoking deal. To the seller, it was just an old computer his uncle had given him.

$100 is way too much for a bare-bone stock A2000, you are lucky it had those parts inside.

I have seen piles of A2000s for sale at AmiWest for $40 each and most had a SCSI controller w/HD inside.

I think it depends on where you are located. If you're near a city that had a store or stores that sold Amiga stuff, then there's a large supply of used stuff around. So they don't cost a lot. Supply and demand.

Unfortunately, I'm not near anything and any good deals I find online are usually killed by shipping (almost 1/2 the cost of mine was shipping).
