Can Toaster 3.1 diskettes be copied?
« on: May 01, 2008, 03:35:35 AM »
I just got a 2nd A2000 and this one has a Video Toaster 4000. I'm trying to make a backup of everything to the ADF format for backup copies.

The problem I have is that the first disk reads and converts ok, but the others only show up as NDOS disks and I can't read them.

I've tested the disks by installing to my other A2000 and everything installed and ran fine, so I know that the problem is not due to bad diskettes.

Anyone know why these won't read and is there a way to make an ADF copy. If they can't be copied, then can I make a copy of the completely installed Toaster 4000 drawer on the machine to use later if needed.

Thanks,

-JM

I've got a copy of 4.1 on CD, but I have not had the time to get the CD-Rom working on it yet. Also, it looks like the 4.1 does not include Lightwave.

I'm just guessing on the 4.1 not having Lightwave. I won't know for sure until I've got the CD going in the A2000, but when I popped the disc in the laptop there are no folders/files under the Lightwave directory. They could store them elsewhere though.

I'll try the other suggestions on copying the disks and will give the CD another try this weekend.
