OS4.1 has had a lot of good news lately with timberwolf and this apache sql bounty. Big congratulation. And since OS4.1 have had so much good news coming their way I hope you don’t mind me telling a little about good aros news.
The amiga universe is not only expanding in one direction but in all. I use aros and I’m very excited over the newly taken Gallium 3d bounty by deadwood. This will be fantastic and a big step.

Voices have been raised to persuade, pledge, beg him to also fix the sound in janusUAE which from user perspective would be, well just glorious. This is one of the missing blocks to fully enjoy classic games in aros. Pleeese fix the sound also. It’s so important to be able to hear the game sounds.
The new WHD MENU will fit like a glove with previously spoken of feature. This is a program to keep track on whdload games. Great.
And improvements has been made to THEMES that make it possible to change these without reboot and now with an option to preview. Themes can make aros look like 3.1 or modern. There are a variety of themes and new ones are under construction.
Some of these features are so new that they have not yet been incorporated into icaros. But they can be found in aros archives.
There is also a dosbox port that can run and safely contain those evil dos apps and keep them under controlled laboratorial conditions for examination.
Well there was a report of some of the ongoing things. Thought it could be interesting.
