Ah ha - I think we're on to something here. When I click on GenesisPrefs, nothing happens.
I remember having this problem. I loaded up SnoopDos and saw it failed to load one of the gadget classes. Seems like the one installed was dodgy. I searched the CD for versions of the failing gadget and managed to find a working one.
I can't for the life of me remember which one it was or which one on the CD worked... But anyway, that's how I got it fixed.
