just tried it ... the preferences still crash my system sometimes :-/
but for all the rest it runs fine.
I've been using Yam for years, and of the few things that cause crashes, the prefs
never have. You might want to check through your MUI classes and make sure everything is up to date.

I like very much YAM2.4 but it is a little slow.
Yam is a little slow at decoding attachments. It'd be great if in the future it offered an option to use PPC for decoding.
