The Amiga has four distinct sound channels. The first and the fourth are mixed to the left output and the second and third are mixed to the right.
Now if you only connect the left output to a loud speaker (because the right cable is damaged) and program 1 outputs on channel 1 (left) and program 2 on channel 2 (right), you will only hear program 1.
