I never had a complete loss with PFS2 / PFS3 but there are still some bugs in PFS2 compared to PFS3 which was always completely stable for me.

What is a "split ISO data track" ? Can you make a non-split ISO image from it, i.e. can you join the parts ? If you have a complete ISO image (one file) you can use whichever software you like to burn it. For example MakeCD is freely available now. http://www.estamos.de/makecd/

Messages like "index block nnn has an invalid id" with the partition remaining write protected. Most such errors could be fixed by running the DiskValid utility or RemoveDirEntry followed by DiskValid. Sometimes I had to backup / format / restore. But as I said I never lost a complete partition. Files were always readable at least.
