According to
this page the controller is supposed to autoboot. This means there are no separate drivers. There must be a ROM on the board which has the drivers built-in.
Perhaps the drive is too big for the controller. Or you didn't set the jumpers correctly. Did you terminate the SCSI bus ?
The Amiga cannot access more than 4GB anyway, so it's needless to use such a big drive.
