These adapters are too big for 2.5" hdds. And probably the connector does not fit, too. The adapter is connected directly to the back of the hdd and it barely fits behind the case of a 3.5" hdd.
The speed is reasonable though. I get 12MB/s on a CSPPC without much looking into the options (probably running asyncronous in 8bit mode).
