when i'm in HDToolbox setting up partitions, sometimes one looks bigger thant the other, even tho it says they are around 1900MB

HDToolbox cannot display numbers bigger than 4096MB.

should I resize it so that it visually matches the others

It depends on how big the partition shall be. If you want to have a 1900MB partition, then you have to resize it because now it is plus 1900MB.

If you are happy with a parition of for example 5996MB, then you don't need to resize it. AFAIK SFS can handle partitions of 100GB or more, depending on block size.

Note that a partition which has more than 2GB of free space might be reported as full by several programs. For example some programs might refuse to install if there is more than 2GB of free space.
