Are you a developer and want to write your own program to create ADF files ?

If not, then IMHO no tutorial is needed. Just use your favourite ADF-creation program, choose the drive the disk is in, select a path and file name you want to write to and click on whichever button means "do it".

Search Aminet for ADF programs, there are lots of them.

For personal reasons I'd suggest TSGUI. :-D

With old abandoned software like this, is there someone who has a website with a collection of these types of programs that I should send a copy?

Should I try and reach the program author first, if possible to get permission?

Certainly. Otherwise it'd be illegal, no matter how old the software is.
