I suppose that either Imagine needs a screen mode which is not supported by the Voodoo (e.g. 15bit), or you had CGX installed before and Imagine has saved an old mode id anywhere which is not available any more. Try to reset the settings to default and then choose a new screen mode. Or try to force it into a P96 screen mode with NewMode or ModePro.
