The computer has to reset to make the rom update active. The eFlash just moves the reset from the end of the boot process to the start of it.
The eFlash docs is of no use. Read the Poseidon docs to learn what is needed to make it resident. There is also a shell script coming with Poseidon which uses the List command to get all needed files together.
You might want to have a look on
eflashutil on Aminet, it has an option to add Poseidon to the eFlash ROM.
