You reminded me of my old "1320" (an A1000 with 1.3 and 2.0 ROMs). I had a switch installed on it. I could just flip the switch and reboot if I really wanted to use the 1.3 ROM. I eventually traded it for a 25 inch color TV, after having gotten my A1200.
