I wonder if Dave is reading this. He could answer the question definitively. As far as I know, Disksalv has never been updated since before the filesystems were created for handling drives larger than 4GB on the Amiga. It therefore knows nothing about them. If you use it for a 40GB drive, as the original poster stated, you are taking the life of your data in your hands. I use Disksalv all the time for Amiga drive problems, but its largest drive is only 2GB. It was made for those drives, not for the large ones of today.

By the way, those of you who do have such huge drives, how do you make permanent backups of them? I would think that at those sizes, even a CD-R would be less than practical. I don't relish the idea of burning 40+ CDs to do one backup of one drive.
