I don't know why people are so interested in this sort of thing.
Instead of showing you a pic of my desktops, I'll describe them!
MS-Windows: Plain old win 95/98 green, with standard win98 icons. Nothing special.
MorphOS: Standard icons scaled down. Background pic is tiled 'autumn' picture I found, which is basically brownish leaves etc. MUI is configured with fairly ordinary 'marble' patterns.
Amiga A 4000 T: Standard icon set. "Dogs Playing Poker" pic as my background
. ReAction uses a subdued green leaves background. Font is a large (18 or 20 pt) Times type font.
Linux: Grey 'swirly patterns' as my background. Standard KDE dull crappy yellow borders with customized gadget positions. Standard icons.
Now I go and eat...
