My only complaint is the screen resolution on the majority of them, 600 pixels high is a pain.  The 1.6ghz Atoms are more than fast enough for me.  I still carry one around as a "just in case" machine, way lighter than a cheap laptop, and I'd care much less if it got run over by a truck as opposed to a decent laptop costing 2-3 times what the netbook cost.

...and I've never tried gnomeshell, but I did try the beta of Jolicloud!
