IIRC, there were at least two different rom sets (different pinouts) for the desktop 3000. Early 3000s had a rom-tower (another daughterboard) with, I think, 4 rom sockets. Later MBs, perhaps the most common version, used a different style of rom. I have no idea how the 3000 tower fit into this evolution.

The ROMs are the same, it's just the tower that you wouldn't need in the 3000T.
You could take a set of 1.4 softkick ROMs (often came on ROM-tower 3000s) and throw them into a 3000T if you wanted to.
