Make sure the flexible plastic window in the top (if it's so equipped) always folds neatly when dropping the top, I let a friend borrow mine and he wasn't careful and ended up tearing the window due to it crumpling up in a way that put too much stress on the plastic.

Best bet is to unzip the window along the top (again, if so equipped) and let it drop before folding the top back. Kind of a pain and of course it puts stress on the zipper zipping it back up, but it lets the window lie flat.
