what is and isn't acceptable here? Amiga has technically been dead a very long time but I dunno what the stance is on requesting software/games etc etc?

A word of advice: The moderation on this site is infamously over the top.
If you ask for what they deem as "warez" (i.e. Games that have been out of production for 20 years and are unavailable to buy legitimately), the posts will get deleted and you will get an infraction.
Apart from the over-zealous moderation, the people are really helpful and friendly.
