I've heard that particular port is for video (I could be wrong) but I'm pretty sure I read it here on the forums.

Damn, no one bet.

Anyhow it is confirmed, it is an RGB socket and I am sure it WAS supposed to be a high-density 15-pin D-sub (VGA).

Analogic will sell you the cable with the unit for an extra £15 on top. Or you can make your own ;)

What is more fascinating is that these were designed and built by the same guy who created the BoXer and the Access, Mick Tinker for the Wall Street Institute and hence the name CD32fWSI.

Excellent!!  ;)

Yes, is separate video, name it svhs is a bad habit.

I always thought it was related to the S-VHS standard of VCRs.  S-VHS had a higher resolution, but you needed a S-VHS port to utilize the better resolution.

Not sure though  :s

@tension

Many people called ir svhs for unknow reason (including me sometimes) but vhs and svhs videos have scart and scart have more quality than s-video.

Most VCRs produce composite signals, even though they have the full scart connector, RGB pins are not used.

In that case, SVHS gives a better picture if used with a SVHS (S-video) cable.
