Free: Anyone need A4000D case parts?
« on: March 13, 2011, 09:00:42 PM »
I have parts from 3 different A4000D cases. I've bought 3 of them only to have all 3 of them fail on me within a month of purchase. So, I've given up on having an A4000D like I used to.

So anyway, does anyone have any use for the metal parts of the case or the plastic shield that goes between the zorro card and the drives? I'm willing to ship them for cost - it might take me a little while to find a box big enough for the large metal bottom enclosure itself.

Ok, quick correction either my memory is going or my wife cleaned the man cave. Of course it could be a little of both.

Here's what I have.

A4000D case parts...
1 Top of case  (SPOKEN FOR)
2 Front plastics(no drive covers) with power switch extenders  (SPOKEN FOR)
2 Case bottoms
2 Metal strength members
2 CDROM, floppy metal bays
1 Hard drive brackets
2 MB Bottom plastic shields
1 Zorro plastic shield

Hey man very nice of you. I'm looking for the metal bracket that goes on the mouse and joystick ports.. i have an a4000d here without one kind of weird.

I didn't see a PM from you on this one man. I'll take a look - so far no one has really spoken for the bottom case metal.

Right now I have

2 X metal drive cage
2 X plastic shields
2 X Bottom case metals (potentially minus port cover on one based on Magnetic's request.)

I'm still waiting to hear on one floppy cover and some screws but I'll say those are gone as well. To the members who received their items already - be sure to post into the thread so that others know I'm not running any kind of flim flam here. LOL!

Shipping only, just trying to get this stuff into hands that will use it before my wife recycles it on me. 8^D

I don't suppose you have the plastic front for the case? I assume you don't as you haven't said you have......feel free to tell me off for not paying attention!

LOL! No need to tell anyone off. I had two of them and both of them have shipped out. One was Stateside so it's been received the other was overseas and likely won't be there for a week or so more. Sorry that I don't have more but that would have meant I got screwed on more A4000Ds that were dying. LOL!

I'm sticking with my trusty A1200HDCD for now. Maybe someone will release an AGA compatible board and then I'm likely there again. 8^D

All that is left is what I listed in the post above.
