The CF card reader is a great option but you have a CDROM on the Amiga. Are blanks expensive in the UK? If you have qa burner on your PC you can easily download and burn stuff to a CDR and use it on the Amiga.
Approx. 700MB at a time. I just keep one master folder on my PC hard drive and burn a new copy after I download a lot of new stuff. ;^)
Since you have an A1200 and loved to play games take a look at WHDLoad if you haven't already. I was amazed at what a great project that was and registered my copy quickly.
Again, I'm glad to have another Amigo using Amiga again.
