Petsoff Dblscan 4000
« on: January 09, 2008, 02:35:00 AM »
I see that on the Amiga Board a while back there was discussion of finding the original developer of the Petsoff Dblscan 4000 and seeing if he could get plans together for a small run of that card.

Amiga Board Thread - related to Petsoff Dblscan 4000

It doesn't look like it went anywhere. Does anyone here have contact with the developer of the board to ask if it would be possible to do another run of the card if enough pre-orders can be had?

Thanks all.

I just wonder how many A4000 users are left that would love to buy a video slot Scan Doubler/Flicker fixer that was 24-bit AGA compatible. With the number of discussions online, I can't believe that I'm the only one.

I just bought a Picasso IV instead.

They come up on ebay and forum's all the time.

At about £150 ($295) it was a tad pricey compared to a scandoubler, but it is an RTG card and an AutoMon in one.

I guess I didn't know that the Picasso Iv would promote all old ECS/AGA 15Khz modes to 31Khz. If it indeed works both as a VGA card and FF/SD, I'll keep an eye out for one for sale.

However, I wonder the proce different on a newly made scan doubler/ff only.
